Windows XP Delta Edition Beta 2 Overview
Windows XP Delta Edition is a modification of Windows XP which aims to recreate the Windows XP Beta 2 aesthetic and bring back lost features, functions, and programs from previous versions of Windows, along with prerelease versions of Windows XP.

- New icons across the OS, notably Administrative Tools
- New wizard bitmap design, consistent for the most part
- New logo in System Properties

Known Bugs

- The Whistler theme’s taskbar buttons are not flush with the taskbar on the vertical taskbar.
- Beta 2 tour has a lot of cut off lines, and has a missing “Networks: Powerful and Practical” section.
- Discs don’t update when a new disc is inserted until Explorer restarts.
Won’t Fix
Windows Media Player 6.4 and 95 will not be on the start menu by default. The Post-install Script must be run manually after setting up WMP9 to fix this.The visual styles may fail to copy during Setup under some circumstances. Run the Post-install script manually to fix this.The automated Post-install Script will not run under upgrade installs.Outlook Express’s inbox folder icons are stuck in 16 colors. This is harcoded and can’t be fixed.
